Writing Team

The Journey Writing Team exists to bring glory to God through the written word. The writing team welcomes all kinds of writers and is open to all genres of writing. This is a place not only for playwrights, poets and fiction writers, but also for journalists, technical writers, songwriters and anyone with a passion and knack for stringing words together!

If you would like to get involved with the Writing Team, please complete the Worship Arts Interest Form. Our Pastor of Worship Arts, Jason Hatley, will contact you to arrange for your audition time and answer any questions that you may have. You may also email Jason, or call our office at 561-420-0606.

What kind of writing does the team do? Is it only scripts?
The writing team welcomes all kinds of writers and is open to all genres of writing. This is a place not only for playwrights, poets and fiction writers, but also for journalists, technical writers, songwriters and anyone with a passion and knack for stringing words together!

How much will I get to write for the team?
We aim to strike a balance between commitment to the team and the other responsibilities in our lives. Service should be a joy, so you should expect to contribute to a specific project at least once a semester, and we are committed to working with you to making sure your work comes to fruition.

Do I have to be a member of The Journey to join?
You do not have to be a member in order to join.  However, by joining, it is our hope that you will decide to make the commitment to go through Membership Class this season, and officially join The Journey family.

How do I join?

• Sign-up to interview by completing the Worship Arts Interest Form or by contacting Jason Hatley (561-420-0606 / jason@bocajourney.com) and let him know that you would like to audition. 
• Relax, and come to the audition ready to have fun and do your best!
