Pastor Dr. Nelson Searcy will help you achieve three goals:
Goal 1: Walk away with a deeper connection to God.
Goal 2: Have a greater commitment to allow each person of the Trinity to work in your life on a day to day basis.
Goal 3: Know how you can best cooperate with God's work for greater growth, power and maturity.
To achieve these goals, this class will cover:
- A clear and compelling overview of "What is the Trinity?" along with biblical proof for this powerful doctrine.
- The interesting history and heresies throughout Church History that have helped up appropriately define The Trinity (it's a "gotta hear it, to believe it" story).
- The unique challenges to the Trinity that are deemed heresy by theologians and scholars (i.e., unitarianism, adoptionism, Monarchianism et. al.) and how to insure you haven't bought into any of these dangerous beliefs about God.
- A deeper biblical understanding of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- The popular illustrations/images that can best be used to describe The Trinity (clover leaf, egg, different states of matter, geometrical designs, etc.).
- Answers to specific questions received from Journey members and attenders.
- Supplemental studies, appendix materials and scripture compendiums.
